Sierra Homes will help you determine and obtain a realistic figure and estimate the cost to build your house. This would include all service, labour, materials, and GST.

According to the law, a proper building contract must be prepared for any building work worth more than $10,000.00 including:  

  • Building, constructing a home and associated landscaping, paving, retaining structures, driveways, fencing, lighting, heating, air conditioning, water supply, or sewage.  
  • Renovations or demolitions, alterations, extensions, repairs, and any other major improvements.  
  • Specifications are to be provided by Sierra Homes.  

As per Consumer Affairs Victoria, the contract must be in writing and must include the below: 

  • Be written in clear English. 
  • Set out in full all the terms of the contract 
  • Give detailed descriptions of the work to be carried out. 
  • State the builder’s registration number as it appears on the builder’s registration certificate.  
  • State the contract price.  
  • State the amount of the deposit and progress payments as required by law 
  • State the date of the contract is effective 
  • Set out implied warranties.  

We have dedicated customer-driven and experienced team members to help you through the entire documentation process. All the documents will need to be prepared and processed as per the law.   

Once the legal contractual documentation process has been completed, and the balance of the deposit has been confirmed received and acknowledged along with the final New Home Contract, you will be contacted by our advisor about the tentative commencement date of the construction. 

With the appropriate level of approval and permission from our site supervisor, you may visit the construction site during the usual business hours. You may contact our site supervisor between 08:30 am and 05:00 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). A minimum of 24 hours’ notice would be required to obtain approval to visit the construction site.    

No unauthorized access to the construction site will be entertained.

During the construction period until the property is ready to be moved in, the building and the site will be under our insurance coverage. Your insurance would begin the day you possess ownership of the property.  

We are currently in the process of building display homes to personalize your visits and introduce you to our creations and designs. Once the display homes are ready for visits and viewing, we will be advertising the same on all major media platforms and via our newsletters.
